It is with great pride that we post this press release… Many years, much hard work, and countless individuals have been involved with Calvin Lacrosse since its founding to bring the program to the level it is today. The move from club status to Varsity is a great step in bringing Lacrosse at Calvin College to the next level. We appreciate everyone’s support and we look forward to much success in the future!
Upcoming Lacrosse Season
The summer is wrapping up and with that, we look forward to another year of Calvin Lacrosse. As always, we will begin our year with fall ball which is a great opportunity to welcome the freshman to the program and play a few scrimmages.
This fall, mark your calendar for the 4th Annual Alumni game which will take place Saturday, Oct. 22 during homecoming week at Calvin College.

This week at Calvin
Please come out at support your Calvin College Knights as they host the Saints of cross-town rival Aquinas College. The Knights will seek to better their 1-2 divisional record and 1-4 overall record with a win in this divisional game. Game starts at 6pm on the Track/Soccer field.
This will mark the second to last home game for the Knights as they travel to Minnesota this weekend to face Carleton and St Olaf Saturday- before returning home to host Hope College the following Wednesday.

Saturday’s Game Cancelled v Augustana
Unfortunately, Saturday’s game against Augustana has been cancelled. Due to widespread illness on the campus of Augustana, they are unable to field a team to bring up to West Michigan this weekend for their games against Hope and Calvin- we wish them well.
We’ll see you all next week at home as the Knights host the Aquinas Saints, 5 pm, Tuesday April 12.

Calvin tops Siena Heights in 9-6 Win
The Knights topped the Saints of Siena Heights Wednesday to their first home crowd of the season. The Saints made their trip to Calvin for their first CCLA matchup against the Knights. Despite controlling the face-off all night, the first quarter started out slow with Siena Heights closing out with a 2-1 lead. The Knights kicked it up in the second quarter to post 5 goals and go into the half with a 6-2 lead. The Knights came out slow in the third quarter allowing 3 unanswered goals from the Saints, fighting to add to their 1 goal lead going into the 4th the Knights posted an extra 3 goals to the Saints 1 to finish with a 9-6 lead. Excellent play between the pipes from Senior Goalie Dan Tiersma (#9) held the Knights in contention most of the evening. Knights goals were posted from Attackman Matt Bartus (#11), Attackman Dan Meiste (#5), who tallied 3 for the night, and led by senior Midfielder Eric Kamstra (#24) who found the back of the net 5 times.
The Knights will resume practices in preparation for the home game against #1 ranked Grand Valley State University this Saturday at 1pm.

Knights come back from Spring Break to face busy week against Siena Heights and #1 Ranked GVSU


This week welcomes the Knights back from Spring Break and will prove to be a tough week as the Knights square off against the Saints of Seina Heights, the Saints are new to the CCLA this year and will make the trip to Grand Rapids to play Wednesday, March 30 in the Knights first home game of the 2011 season, face off at 5pm. This weekend will mark the second home game of the season, as the Knights host #1 ranked Grand Valley State University at 1pm. Both games will take place on the Track/Soccer field. Please come out and show your support!

Ferris State

Coming off a hard 20-1 Loss last weekend from Hope College the Knights come into tonights game in Big Rapids looking for a much needed win. Following the game tonight, the Knights will be on spring break the following week to play Sienna Heights at Home on Wednesday the 30th and then #1 ranked Grand Valley State University on the 2nd of April at Home. Please come out and support your Men’s Lacrosse team!
